The adult choir leads the assembly in sung prayer each week, primarily at the 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays. The adult choir also sings on major feast days like All Saints, Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. Regardless of past experience or training, if you love to sing, please consider joining the adult choir. The adult choir is open to individuals willing to make a commitment of their time and talent, including committed high school students in 9th thru 12th grades.
The Order of Christian Funerals states that “Music is integral to the funeral rites… [and] whenever possible, even a choir should assist the assembly’s full participation in singing the songs, responses, and acclamations of these rites” (OCF #30, 33). The Resurrection Choir is open to anyone who feels called to minister to grieving families through music. This choir rehearses once per month, and the repertoire is not difficult.
The parish children’s choir is open to all children of the parish in grades 3 thru 8. At this time, the children’s choir leads music at the early Christmas Mass
If you play an instrument, please consider sharing your gift of music with the assembly. This ensemble is open to high school musicians who participate in their band program.
The handbell choir is open to those willing to make a commitment of their tie and talent. They rehearse each week and play at various times throughout the year. High school students (9th-12th grades) are also welcome.
