Hello, My name is Nicole Crumley.  I am so excited to be part of the St. John Nepomuk faculty for another year.  Honestly, I have a passion for working with children and am thrilled to spend another year in the first grade classroom.

I was born and raised in Arkansas City, Kansas and was the oldest of two.  When I graduated from High School, I spent two years earning my Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Cowley County Community College.  While there I was a member of AmeriCorps and completed more than 2000 hours of volunteer service, mostly in educational settings.  I then moved to Emporia, KS to attend Emporia State University.  I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education.  I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a desire to start teaching right away.

I taught a split class of Pre-K/Kindergarten my very first year in Wellston, Oklahoma.  I then went on to teach 1st grade for the next four years.  I took some time off to be a mom in 2008 but could not stay away from the classroom long.  I was a PreK and Kindergarten teacher at the Goddard School in Edmond from 2010-2011.  I then heard God's call in 2011, and made my way to St. John Nepomuk and back to the first grade classroom.

My husband (Scott) and I have two wonderful children who attend St. John Nepomuk Catholic School.  Together they are my "three boys".  They are so much fun and they keep me on my toes at all times.  My husband helps me see the parent side of school, while my children help me see the student side.  They help me to be the best teacher I can be!

I strive to prepare students to leave my classroom each May ready for 2nd Grade and beyond.  I have great expectations for each child and delight in watching them achieve their goals.  I foresee an academically strong and enjoyable year for all students.  Through student, parent and teacher involvement, all students will succeed.  I can not wait to start another "Learning Adventure" in First Grade!

To help us start the year out on the best foot I am providing a link to a survey for you to fill out.  This same link was provided in my "Going Wild" in First Grade letter emailed on July 29th.  You only need to fill it out once.

The Student Info Survey will be kept in my classroom for when I need to reach you.  It also gives me a chance to know more about your child before school begins.

Please fill it out before "Meet the Teacher" night on Thursday, August 8th!

Email is one of my main forms of communication and I want to make sure we are fully able to contact each other as needed.  If you would like to be added to my mail chimp list, please follow the link to subscribe!
